What you'll do:1. Design, implement and evaluate training programs in English and French focused on technical skills within tissue manufacturing, safety protocols and operational procedures tailored to the needs of salaried plant employees as well as the deployment of line centric teams (LCT) and operational excellence (OpEx) at plants across the United States and Canada.
2. Prepare and present regular reports on training activities, outcomes and recommendations to senior management.
3. Manage all operational aspects of training programs, including new hire Onboarding and Leadership Training.
4. Work with counterpart for Hourly Training to evaluate the appropriate use of technical training programs to determine best course of action based on business needs.
5. Conduct regular assessments to identify training needs and gaps in skills within the workforce, utilizing feedback from management and employees.
6. Deliver engaging training sessions and workshops, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques to cater to different learning styles.
7. Work closely with department head to align training initiatives with organizational goals and operational requirements. Work closely with Corporate Learning & Development to optimize best practices and ensure alignment.
8. Leverage LMS (Learning Management System) and digital platforms to maximize the employee learning experience.
9. Develop, track, report on training budget dollars against applicable programs.
10. Ensure technical training is aligned with the overall mill training strategy and organization needs.
11. Leverage and optimize digital training platforms where appropriate to deliver impactful training channels and solutions.
12. Coordinate with Training Team to manage training courses, resources, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia solutions, and other educational materials.
13. HR business partner responsibilities, including supporting employee investigations across manufacturing teams.
What you'll bring:- Must have bachelor's degree in human resources, labor relations, industrial relations, or a closely related field of study or foreign equivalent, as well as 3 years of managerial work experience within the Human Resources department of a tissue manufacturing plant, which experience shall include the following:
- 3 years of experience with LCT and OpEx principles and processes;
- 2 years of experience with tissue manufacturing processes and technology;
- 2 years of experience in project management;
- 2 years of experience in change management;
- 2 years of experience in consultation, coaching or teaching employees;
- 2 years of experience with learning platforms, i.e., Convergence and Litmos;
- 2 years of experience in talent management and retention;
- 2 years of experience in organizational development skills; and,
- 2 years of experience in plant acquisitions and closures.
- Fluency in English and French is required.
