HR Manager - Grand Rapids, MIDISHER is partnering with a motorcycle manufacturer in Grand Rapids, Michigan to fill their HR Manager position. In this role, you will be responsible for building scalable people processes, supporting organizational growth, and fostering a high-performance culture aligned with the organization's mission and values. You will lead the creation and management of all human resource functions for a rapidly growing start-up company.

- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Manage the full hiring process, including job postings, interviewing, reference checks, and onboarding.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on workplace issues.
- Coach managers and supervisors on employee relations, performance management, communication, and leadership best practices.
- Create, implement, and maintain employee policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Partner with leadership to develop compensation philosophies, job architecture, and career progression frameworks.
- Support payroll processes in coordination with the Finance Department.
- Design and administer performance evaluation processes.
- Identify training and development needs, develop effective programs to enhance employee value to the company, and maintain accurate training records.
What will make you successful:- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Human Resources certification preferred (e.g., Society for Human Resource Management-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR).
- 8-10+ years of progressive human resources experience.
- Experience in a start-up or high-growth manufacturing environment desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting, employee relations, and employment law compliance.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing workforce with exempt and non-exempt roles.
- Experience scaling human resources processes within a growing organization.
- Experience supporting EOS or similar operating systems preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and build human resources processes from the ground up.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems and Microsoft Office applications.
