We are seeking an HR professional who is passionate about working with front line teams and thrives in a fast-paced growth environment to support Ichor's IMG business unit located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Candidates must have a strong knowledge base of full-cycle HR practices, California and Federal employment law, and the knowledge and the ability to deliver effective HR support in a manufacturing environment.

Position Overview

Full-cycle HR Generalist role in a multi-site manufacturing business. Total workforce is approximately 225 employees in frontline and management roles at 5 locations. Reports to the Sr. Manager HRBP.

Key Responsibilities

HR Partnership
  • Provide HR support across all functions and worksites
  • Consistent on-site presence to build strong partnerships, enhance business understanding and anticipate workforce needs
  • Advise and support managers and supervisors on topics such as hiring, performance management, ER, employee engagement and retention
  • Partner with management to build positive site culture and support retention through efforts that improve communication, connection, recognition and appreciation of employees


Compliance
  • Ensure workplace practices comply with state and federal law and company policies
  • Support frontline leaders in monitoring and enforcing employee time-keeping policies (recording time, breaks and lunches, OT limits, etc.)
  • Advise and coach supervisors and managers on practices for ensuring and maintaining compliance


Employee Relations & Compliance
  • Provide full-cycle ER management including intake, investigation, risk assessment, recommendation, documentation, and resolution
  • Coach and support management in identifying and responding to ER concerns (i.e. supervision, documentation, performance discussions, etc.)
  • Manage cases end-to-end
  • Partner with third party administrator and in-house benefits manager
  • Advise leaders on return-to-work to ensure successful employee transitions
  • Identify leave trends to inform business planning
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring at the sites
  • Provide support to site management in the hiring planning, screening and interviewing processes as needed
  • Onboard employees with a strong focus on employee experience, consistency, and retention

Employee Performance and Development
  • Support leaders in performance management activities, including the annual goals and performance cycle, check-ins pay-for-performance, and on-going employee feedback and coaching
  • Support leaders in identifying methods and resources to support employee training and development needs


Workforce Metrics & Continuous Improvement
  • Track and analyze key workforce data such as turnover, attendance, overtime, and pay
  • Engage with front-line leaders to share workforce insights and identify actions to enhance employee productivity and retention


Core HR Administration
  • Maintain employee life cycle in Oracle HRIS and other systems
  • Execute key HR processes with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
  • Perform audits to ensure data integrity
  • Provide support in user testing as system updates are implemented


Required
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or related field
  • 5 years of HR Generalist experience in a frontline operations environment, preferably in manufacturing
  • Strong Command of Federal, State (California) and Municipal employment laws
  • Demonstrated ability to perform legally compliant and best-practice informed HR duties across the full-cycle of HR activities
  • Ability to effectively manage leaves and accommodations ensuring legal compliance
  • Experience with administrating HR data (entry and reporting) in an Enterprise HRIS system
  • Proficiency with the MS-Office suite of tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Full time on-site
  • Ability to take occasional day trips to other IMG worksites (San Leandro, Livermore, Fremont, Santa Cruz)


Preferred
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) or progress toward certification

The pay range for this full-time position is $78,900exempt to $134,100 per year.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
