Overview

Open position in Eden Prairie, MN due to internal promotion!

The Human Resources Generalist serves as a key manufacturing facility HR partner, supporting hourly and general staff employees across the DriSteem facility. This role is responsible for recruiting and onboarding, employee relations, policy administration, and day-to-day HR support while maintaining a visible presence in the facilities and partnering with leaders to meet staffing, engagement, and operational needs.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as an on-site HR partner for manufacturing facility employees and leaders, providing day-to-day support across hourly and general staff populations.
  • Partner with leaders to execute recruiting, hiring, and onboarding activities for production and general staff positions.
  • Build trusted relationships with employees and supervisors to support employee relations, issue resolution, and a positive workplace environment.
  • Interpret and apply HR policies, employment practices, plant rules, and labor-related requirements with consistency and sound judgment.
  • Coordinate key HR processes including onboarding, benefits and leave administration support, employment record maintenance, and HRIS updates.
  • Support staffing plans by partnering with leaders and labor planning to understand openings, hiring priorities, and timing needs across the facilities.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and in facility work areas to strengthen partnerships, reinforce policy and safety expectations, and support employee engagement.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support continuous compliance with ISO 9001 standards and procedures.
  • Maintain a positive work environment through proactive and ongoing communications with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and organizational leadership.
  • Comply with all company health and safety regulations and policies while promoting safe work practices. Report any applicable safety concerns or incidences.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental guidelines and company standards.
  • Significant interface with model production floor, up to and including 30% of the position's time.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field required.
  • Two to five years of human resources experience required, including support for employees and leaders in a manufacturing or facility-based environment.
  • Experience supporting recruiting and hiring for hourly production and general staff roles required.
  • Working knowledge of HR policies, employment practices, employee benefits, leave administration, and regulated compliance requirements required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Paylocity preferred; Workday experience desired.
  • PHR certification preferred.

Salary range in State of MN: $64,600-$100,000.
