As the HR Compliance Leader, you will oversee all regulatory reporting, audits, and policy implementation to ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, while maintaining accurate records and aligning HR systems with time and labor requirements. You will also lead investigations, training, and cross-functional initiatives-partnering with leadership and legal counsel-to proactively address risks, uphold workplace standards, and ensure consistent compliance across all locations.

Experience & Qualifications:- 5 to 8 years of HR experience directly related to employment law procedure and practices
- Strong analytical skills in root cause analysis in employment law and application
- Flexible schedule that allows for attending night and weekend meetings on an as-needed basis
- Experience in working within an organization that is primarily an hourly workforce
- Five years direct experience in completing legally required filings and reporting
Duties & Responsibilities: - Complete annual state and federal regulatory reports including EEO-1, OSHA, Equal Pay, Worker's Comp renewals, Form 5500, ACA 1095Cs
- Participate in the review process of all employee handbooks and other policy roll outs
- Conduct monthly audits of I9s and employment records
- Conduct monthly store visits to ensure stores are compliant in the filing of certifications and hanging of labor posters
- Lead in the annual anti-harassment training for both hourly employees and salary employees
- Lead in employment record retention efforts
- Audit so that HRIS system configurations are in line with time and labor laws
- Lead investigations into potential time and labor incidents, break of workplace safety protocols, or anti-harassment incidents providing detailed root-cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Maintain regulatory oversight of changes in laws affecting the hospitality industry: time and labor, worker's compensation, paid leave, certifications, etc
- Conduct regular internal audits that ensure all certifications, time and attendance procedures, break and labor compliance SOPs are being adhered to in all locations.
- Reviews requests for reasonable accommodations and FMLA, ensuring that requests are handled legally and efficiently
- Report worker comp injuries to key leadership with recommendations of training or remediation efforts
- Audit mandatory breaks and ensure all restaurants are abiding by them while providing documentation as needed
- Ensure all annual tip wage forms and minimum wage changes are distributed and signed off prior to any increases.
- Lead semi-monthly calls with employment law firm to discuss strategy for new policies and laws
