Position Summary:
Serves as a liaison between employees/managers of a business unit, division, or profit center and the corporate human resources function.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
1. Provides effective advice and counsel to Executive and Business Unit leadership on matters involving Succession Planning, Employee Development, Job Descriptions and the Specifications required to meet the needs of the role.
2. Works directly with Employees at all levels to Assess Training and Development needs as they relate to enhancing career advancement opportunities and effectiveness in their current/desired roles.
3. Work with outside sources to prepare and present trainings to individuals and groups within the company; may involve coordination of/with outside vendors or personally prepared and approved material. Examples include but are not limited to (Site specific trainings such as forklift operation and task specific software is not included in the area of responsibility):
a. Annual Manager Training
b. Corrective Action response
c. Continuous Improvement/meeting the needs of training and development due to changes in the market
d. High Potential employee Identification and development (Future Leaders)
4. Prepare and present proposals for training programs, and results post training.
5. New Operation start up team member; may assist in hiring for new start up operations, act as primary point of contact for those employees once onboarded and complete new employee orientation.
6. Track and report on appropriate Compliance Reporting to the appropriate departments or agencies.
7. Assists management with reporting out of workforce management system.
8. Backs up the HRVP and Sr Human Resources Generalist as needed.
9. Project work and Peak Support as needed.
Marginal Functions:
Assists in the planning of all company events and other employee outings as needed
Attend and participate and potential lead meetings (Internal and External)
Reviews and approves supplier invoices for as needed for timely payment by Accounting.
Monitors compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
Remain current with trends within the company and areas in which we operate on important training and development/recruiting topics.
Job Specifications:
