The HR Business Partner (HRBP) for Managed Services aligns HR strategy with business objectives, supporting employees, leadership, and the broader organization. This role serves as a strategic partner in talent management, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness, while providing hands-on support to both individual contributors and managers. The HRBP escalates sensitive matters as needed and ensures compliance with company policies and employment laws. This role maintains strong business acumen, including an understanding of financial performance, goals, culture, and the competitive landscape of Manage Service providers, to drive informed decision-making and support a high-performing workplace.
Primary Position Tasks: - Develops strong relationships with employees to anticipate, understand, and support HR needs.
- Conducts regular meetings with business unit leaders and teams.
- Serves as the primary HR point of contact throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through separation.
- Partners with talent acquisition to support fast paced backfills - headcount, capacity, and resource allocation.
- Provides HR guidance in support of client escalations, staffing challenges, and service delivery needs
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to managers, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Acts as a trusted advisor on complex employee relations matters, guiding managers through workplace issues, resolving conflicts, and ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant application of policies.
- Conducts thorough investigations, support good faith reporting, document findings, and advise leadership on appropriate next steps.
- Advises and guides management through employee terminations, ensuring proper documentation, risk assessment, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Partners with managers and employees to strengthen working relationships, improve morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides input on organizational design, workforce planning, restructures, and succession planning.
- Maintains knowledge of employment laws and regulations to reduce risk and ensure compliance.
- Partners with legal department as needed.
- Analyzes HR trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Provides guidance and interpretation of HR policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven ability to influence and gain buy-in across all management levels.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Experience working for an IT or Managed Services business.
