What is the opportunity?

The HR Business Partner supports the platform or functional senior leader and their leadership team by collaborating, influencing and providing guidance on all aspects of Human Resources, including overall talent strategy, change management, advisory, strategic workforce planning, employee engagement, compensation management, talent management, and organizational design. Applies extensive, in-depth knowledge, skills, and practices to perform complex assignments.

What will you do?
  • Assist in identifying and analyzing the HR needs of a designated business unit.
  • Provide tactical human resources advice to Senior Leaders of various human resources functions, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training and employee relations.
  • Consult with business unit management during the strategic planning process and on the development of human resources strategies that support the unit's business needs.
  • Drive human resources initiatives within the organization and acting as a liaison to other human resources functions when necessary.


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with 3+ years of experience in HR
  • Ability to prioritize high volume, competing priorities for multiple stakeholders and deliver balance of advice and counsel with strong execution and collaboration capabilities
  • Ability to understand, assess and respond to complex situations and provide strategic and innovative solutions to drive results
  • Strong relationship management capabilities including the ability to impact, influence, and constructively challenge senior leaders
  • Change management capabilities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with strong business acumen, growth mindset, and consultative orientation

The expected salary range for this particular position is $70,000-$130,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
