We are currently seeking a HR Business Partner / HRBP II, Sr HRBP for our Jackson, MS / Sterlington, LA West Monroe LA office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position will act as a strategic partner with the BWP Field Operations employees in order to implement effective HR practices and/or systems that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Act as a strategic partner to leadership on a broad range of HR matters, including talent and performance management, employee relations, leadership development, workforce and succession planning, labor relations, training strategy, and compensation practices.
  • Partner with Field Operations groups to deliver both strategic and day-to-day HR support, ensuring effective execution of organizational initiatives and alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead and manage complex employee relations matters, conducting thorough and objective investigations and providing sound recommendations for resolution.
  • Oversee and contribute to projects that drive organizational effectiveness, change management, and process improvement across departments.
  • Support major strategic initiatives by assisting with design, facilitation, planning, and implementation, including enhancements to HR policies, programs, and processes.
  • Build strong partnerships with leadership to influence decision-making and drive outcomes that support business goals within assigned client groups.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws to ensure ongoing compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Perform additional HR functions including onboarding, exit interviews, recruiting and interviewing, HRIS data management, and workforce reporting.
  • Provide guidance and support in succession planning and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Travel as needed to support HR Field Operations and business needs across the organization.


REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 3-10 years of progressive HR Generalist experience
  • Broad working knowledge across multiple HR disciplines, including employee relations, talent management, compliance, and workforce planning.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment and labor laws, with the ability to apply regulations effectively in practical situations.
  • Demonstrated consulting and coaching skills with the ability to influence leaders and guide sound decision-making.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional internal customer service.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% as required

PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience within the oil and gas liquids, transmission, or manufacturing industries.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
  • Prior labor relations experience, including exposure to union environments.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience.


REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field
