Job Description:

SPM Oil and Gas provides superior products and service solutions to Oil & Gas customers in upstream, production, transportation, refining and related industries. The team works hard to create lifelong customer relationships, supplying comprehensive product & service solutions for the Oil & Gas industry and setting the standard for excellence in the segment.

As the Human Resources Generalist for SPM Oil & Gas, you will collaborate and support our Service Center locations in Oklahoma, Louisiana and Texas, aligning HR practices with business goals to support organizational success. You will serve as a trusted advisor and consultant on a wide range of HR policies and practices. In addition, you will be responsible for bi-weekly review and submission of time entry for 600+ employees located in the US and Canada.

What You Will Do:
  • Serve as the on-site contact for our El Reno, Oklahoma facility as well as provide partnership to service centers in Texas and Louisiana for the human resources function, including handling employee relations issues, employee development, staffing, training and performance management.
  • Responsible for bi-weekly time entry submission to payroll for 600+ employees located in the US and Canada.
  • Develop expertise across HR operational process areas, support the identification, assessment, and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Making recommendations to management on issues concerning employees, recruiting, turnover or training.
  • Collaborating with management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Aligning HR policies and programs to promote employee engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Acting as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation, and benefits, etc.
  • Analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to management.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement by providing coaching and feedback.


What You Have:
  • Experience: Human resources job-related experience, good knowledge of various areas of human resource including benefits, employment, pay-related practices/process, compensation and company policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Organization: Knowledge of the organization's vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Effective Communications and Interpersonal Relationships: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Data Gathering and Reporting, Employee Relations, and HR Policies, Standards and Procedures: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company. Knowledge of the rights and obligations in employee relations and ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations. Knowledge of human resource function; ability to uphold the organization's and industry's standards, procedures and policies regarding human resources management.
  • Additional Requirement: Strong human relations and effective communications skills and ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
  • Additional Requirement: Experience Kronos/UKG.

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
