Job Description:
The Human Resources Business Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to operational leaders, providing strategic and day-to-day HR support across multiple locations. This role will focus heavily on employee relations, leave administration, leadership coaching, compliance, workforce planning, and talent initiatives. The ideal candidate will be relationship-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment supporting a large employee population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with managers and directors to address employee relations matters and workplace concerns.
- Provide guidance on performance management, disciplinary actions, employee development, and policy interpretation.
- Support leave administration processes, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other employee leave programs.
- Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Coach leaders on employment law compliance, best practices, and employee engagement strategies.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits, payroll, and HR programs.
- Assist with succession planning, talent development, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Monitor compliance standards and support audit readiness efforts.
- Analyze workforce trends and contribute to initiatives focused on retention and risk reduction.
- Build strong partnerships with operational leadership to support business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience in an HR Business Partner or similar strategic HR role.
- Experience supporting leaders within a mid-sized or large organization.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, benefits, leave administration, performance management, and employment law.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent HR experience will be considered.
Additional Details:
- Regular travel to regional locations required.
- Occasional overnight travel to support additional operational sites.
- Workday experience is preferred but not required.
- Union environment exposure is a plus.
- Initial onboarding includes extensive site visits to build relationships with leadership and employees.
