This position reports to:Human Resources Business Partner
This HR Business Partner will support a diverse and complex client group, including the Switchgear and GC Proposals organizations, the Electrification Distribution Solutions Commercial Operations Office, the Business Process organization, Engineering Tools, and employees participating in early talent programs.
This role requires the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across functions and geographies, providing both strategic guidance and hands-on HR support. In addition to core HRBP responsibilities, the position will serve as an HR Project Manager for key HR initiatives within the ELDS NAM Business Line, ensuring alignment, consistency, and effective execution of HR programs across supported organizations and our factories in the US and MX.
As this position will support Electrification Distribution Services in our Mebane, NC manufacturing facility, candidates will need to be able to work an onsite schedule in the plant (#LI-Onsite).
You will be mainly accountable for:- Ensuring an effective overall HR contribution and value-add to the business in partnership with the functions and Shared Services.
- Supporting the business and the execution of HR processes involved across the end-to-end employee lifecycle by determining and delivering the best approach in the area of responsibility and executing the HR priorities while adding value to the business.
- Partnering with respective managers to develop and implement people strategies.
- Facilitating change management initiatives and driving behavior change & continuous improvement across the respective business area / area of responsibility.
Qualifications for the role:- Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Industrial relations or related discipline plus 5 or more years of HR experience.
- HR Management experience in large manufacturing; solid HR expertise, including employee relations, organizational development and staffing, compensation and performance management strongly preferred
- Workday system experience preferred
- Ability to manage and influence in a matrix global environment
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Change management/facilitation skills
- Candidates must possess work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
