JOB DESCRIPTION

As an HR Business Advisor, you will support a portfolio of clients within the Global Markets & Sales (Sales & Trading) organization and play an integral role in shaping and delivering end-to-end people strategies using data, insights, and technology.  Demonstrating strategic thought leadership and flawless execution, you will leverage deep HR expertise to partner closely with senior business leaders and HR partners globally to deliver industry-leading services and drive the business forward.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of people agenda initiatives for aligned businesses within Global Markets and Sales. Advise business leadership on long-term strategic, and day-to-day human capital matters, operating as a trusted advisor.

  • Counsel senior leaders on effective operating models and sophisticated leadership and people matters. Support individualized development and coaching to managers and emerging leaders, as needed.

  • Lead and execute on end-to-end annual talent management, performance management and year end compensation processes. Partner with business leadership to drive inclusive leadership and culture outcomes, leveraging broader firmwide inclusion efforts.

  • Partner with senior leaders to drive organizational culture in line with business principles. Facilitate feedback processes and other employee input initiatives, e.g. action plans based on Employee Opinion Surveys, Pulse Checks, etc.

  • Demonstrate strong commercial understanding of Sales & Trading (business drivers, economics, operating model) and translate implications into actionable people strategy. 

  • Leverage data and analyze trends to provide holistic insights, identify risks/opportunities, and develop talent strategies that accelerate progress against business priorities. Elevate leader decision-making through clear analytics, narrative, and recommendations.

  • Proactively embrace business-adjacent work with an AI-first mindset—responsibly piloting and implementing tools with appropriate controls, improving speed and quality of delivery, and coaching others to adopt new ways of working.

  • Act as the senior relationship manager between the business and HR, bringing to bear all the appropriate HR assets in support of the business/people agenda. 

  • Champion HR process change and partner across HR to drive efficiency, simplification, and scalable execution.

  • Protect the firm by providing objective advice and counsel on risk, HR Regulatory and people agenda matters,  ensuring sound governance and consistent application of policy and process.

  • Able to operate in a highly matrixed environment and across all levels of the organization

  • Solid relationship management skills and ability to navigate across the function and the firm

  • Exceptional communication skills; able to present and articulate trends leveraging analytics and reporting

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative, team-based culture and leverage matrixed organization to problem solve, design and execute people priorities

  • Able to partner with colleagues to influence broader HR strategies and practices for the benefit of the organization

  • Has a commercial mindset and ability to implement change across multiple stakeholders and within the HR Business Advisor team

  • Demonstrated strength in the following critical HRBA capabilities: Transformation, Strategic Advisory, Business acumen, and AI adoption

Preferred Qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge of range of people practices in a business setting: performance management, compensation practices, talent management, workforce planning, reductions in force, manager excellence and leadership development

  • Proven track record managing a complex, evolving organization and leading change management efforts

  • Experience supporting Global Markets / Sales & Trading leaders and teams (or comparable fast-paced, risk-managed client/trading environments)
