Full Job Description
Location: Hybrid in Exton, PA, in office 2-3x per week.

Position Summary:

HR is being reinvented, and at Bentley, that work is already underway.

Our People Team is not waiting to see what AI becomes. We are using it today to rethink how we deliver services, how we make decisions, and how we support the 5,000+ colleagues who power this company. Now we are looking for someone to take that further.

The HR AI Solutions Partner is a rare role. It demands something that is genuinely hard to find: someone who understands how HR works at a human level and can actually build technology that solves its problems. You will not be advising from a distance. You will sit with our teams, learn how they actually work, and build the tools that make friction disappear. This role owns the full arc, from the first conversation to something colleagues use every day.

This is not a role for someone who wants to implement a vendor's roadmap. It is for someone who sees a problem and builds the answer, who can translate a recruiter's frustration or a payroll workaround into a working solution, and who knows when AI is the right tool and when something simpler will do.

If you get energized by blank pages, real stakeholders, and shipping things that work, this is where you belong.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner directly with HR teams across all functions (including HRBPs, HR Operations and Shared Services, Employee Relations, People Analytics, Learning, Talent Acquisition, and HR Transformation) to understand how they work and where AI can help.
  • Scope and prioritize the problems worth solving. Translate needs into clear, measurable opportunities, and be honest about where AI is the right answer and where it is not.
  • Choose the best-fit approach for each project, from configuring enterprise platforms like Workday, to automating workflows, to writing custom code. Help identify the right tool for the job.
  • Build the whole solution, from autonomous AI agents and automations to the simple, intuitive interfaces that get people to use them.
  • Own solutions from idea to production. You will not hand off half-built projects. You will ship, iterate, and make sure the HR team can run what you build without you.
  • Collaborate with internal IT and enterprise architecture teams to ensure that underlying system infrastructure and integrations can support new AI capabilities at scale.
  • Treat colleague data with the care it demands. Everything you build meets Bentley's standards for privacy, security, and responsible AI.
  • Share what you learn. Your work feeds our AI enablement programs and helps raise the whole team's fluency.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on HR AI trends, emerging tools, and best practices, proactively identifying opportunities to drive value for colleagues and the business.
  • Translate complex AI concepts and solution designs into clear, accessible language for non-technical HR and business stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, balancing strategic design work with hands-on delivery.
  • This is a senior individual contributor role.
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).

Who You'll Work With:

  • You will form a close partnership with HR stakeholders and the HR Transformation team. They bring business context and requirements; you own the technical architecture and the build.
  • You will work directly with HR COEs to run user acceptance testing (UAT), gather feedback, and make sure each solution fits how they really work.
  • You will operate in close partnership with Bentley's AI Operations & Enablement team, the group driving AI adoption across the company, to build on their infrastructure and expertise while owning the solutions our HR teams rely on.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, human resources, computer science, organizational psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and implementing AI or automation solutions, with demonstrated experience with autonomous workflow design, multi-step AI orchestration, or agent-adjacent platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying AI solutions within HR-related domains such as recruiting, talent management, skills and capabilities taxonomy, learning and development, career pathing, or employee support
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, or similar AI orchestration platforms; Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps); experience with Workday is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise system architecture concepts and ability to work effectively with IT teams on integration and infrastructure requirements
  • Experience building or contributing to AI governance frameworks, including responsible AI principles and risk management practices
  • Proven ability to gather and translate ambiguous business requirements into structured solution designs
  • Comfortable operating in environments with limited process maturity, a self-starter who can build structure from scratch
  • Innate sense of curiosity and a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning in a rapidly evolving technology landscape
  • Proactive, driven, and accountable with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and the patience to work closely with non-technical colleagues. You can sit with an HR team, understand their world, and explain technical tradeoffs in plain language.
  • Prior experience building for or within an HR / People function, and/or working with sensitive people data.
