DescriptionWe are seeking a System Engineer that shall collaborate closely with product owners, program managers, hardware engineers, networking and storage teams, system administrators, and customer stakeholders to deliver highquality, servicefocused hardware capabilities while supporting the Agency's STE/STN objectives. In addition, the System Engineer shall be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating clear, accurate, and accessible technical documentation to ensure consistent understanding across teams, enable effective knowledge transfer, and support longterm system sustainment.
RequirementsA current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance (within 7 years) is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.
ExperienceTwenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required. Bachelor degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Required skills:
- Demonstrated experience administering Linux systems, including proficiency with commandline tooling
- Ability to develop automation scripts using Bash and Python to streamline operational and maintenance tasks
- Experience installing, configuring, and supporting COTS/GOTS/FOSS software across largescale Linux cluster environments
- Familiarity with the Agency's STE/STN security compliance requirements and the ability to ensure systems adhere to established policies
- Broad technical understanding of server components, including compute, storage arrays, network fabrics, memory architectures, and database technologies
- Working knowledge of IaC concepts, principles and experience using automation tooling such as SaltStack and Ansible
- Handson knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and containerd
- Familiarity with Fiber Channel attached storage systems
- Familiarity with Oracle OLVM and
Desired skills:
- Familiar with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
- Familiar with distributed files systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFS
- Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
