Description
We are seeking a System Engineer who shall be responsible for providing support for a large scale Linux system including installation of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all of the compute, network, memory, and storage system components. In addition, the System Engineer shall maintain the system security integrity and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Requirements
A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance (within 7 years) is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience
Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required. Bachelor degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Required skills:
  • Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Suite of Tools
  • Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python to automate manual processes
  • Experience performing basic System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux environment
  • Strong Linux systems engineering background (e.g., RHEL, Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu)
  • Hands-on experience planning or deploying at least one Delinea product (Secret Server, Privilege Manager, DevOps Secrets Vault, or related tools)
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear, accurate documentation for architecture, configuration, and operational processes
  • Familiar with identity and access management concepts, PAM solutions, least-privilege principles, and secure configuration guidelines
  • Familiar with integrating Linux systems with authentication and directory services (LDAP, Active Directory, FreeIPA)
  • Strong problem-solving skills related to enterprise systems, authentication pipelines, and service-level troubleshooting
  • Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as Ansible and SaltStack
  • Familiar with API-driven integrations and secrets management in CI/CD workflows
  • Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, and associated secrethandling patterns
Desired skills:
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience in cybersecurity engineering roles or working within compliance-driven environments (STIGs, NIST, ISO, etc.)
