Position Summary

The Medical Director of Hospitalist Medicine at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center provides clinical, operational, and physician leadership for a hospital-employed hospitalist program. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, efficient, safe, and patient-centered inpatient care while advancing organizational goals related to quality, access, value-based care, and physician engagement.

Additional Information: Full time position with 0.6 FTE administrative and 0.4 FTE clinical

Position Qualifications

Experience

  • At least 3 years of hospitalist experience is required
  • Prior leadership experience, experience in a hospital-employed model, and formal leadership training is preferred


Education

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school is required


Required Certification/Licensure

  • Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine by the Oregon State Board of Medical Examiners (OSBME)
  • Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start
  • Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges this includes but is not limited to, holding position-specific certifications/memberships as determined by Asante Medical Staff team
  • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs
  • Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
