  • Respond to codes and cross-coverage requests as needed
  • Support and mentor fellow hospitalists and medical staff
  • Ensure timely documentation and follow-up on patient care

Full Job Description
Location: Deaconess Hospital (Gateway, Midtown, Henderson)
  • There are a total of 53+ employed Hospitalists in the group
  • Program was started approximately 23 years ago
  • Shifts are 12 hours in length
  • Shift available (8a - 8p)
  • 180 shifts/year (full-time), 15 shifts per month, with flexible scheduling
  • Average # of admissions:
    • Gateway: 14-16 patients each, plus cross-coverage/codes after 8pm and Round Robin admissions from 8am-4pm
    • Midtown: 16-18 patients each, plus cross-coverage/codes after 8pm
    • Henderson: 10-14 patients each, plus cross-coverage/codes after 7pm and round robin admissions from 7am-3pm
    • Two Nocturnists per night at Midtown and Gateway; 8p-8a
    • One Nocturnists per night at Henderson; 7p-7a
  • Referral base includes ED visits, direct admissions, and regional transfers
  • Robust subspecialty support
  • Procedures not required
