JOB SUMMARYThe Pharmacy Manager will provide leadership on drug therapy monitoring activities, prescribing quality assurance, medication protocol development, antimicrobial stewardship, drug information service provision, and other related pharmacotherapy services. The Pharmacy Manager oversees pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in daily operations including compounding and dispensing medications and pharmaceutical supplies pursuant to medication orders and performs other technical duties of the pharmacy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Promotes the mission, vision, and values of Weston County Health Services (WCHS).
- Provides oversight of the medication therapy management (MTM) for nursing home and acute care patients.
- Develops pharmacy staff competencies, orientation checklists, and annual reviews as appropriate.
- Collaborates with the Medical Staff Chairperson regarding meeting agendas.
- Oversees the medication formulary and prepares submissions for new inclusions to the formulary.
- Provides Drug Use Evaluations as needed or requested.
- Collaborates with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and clinical colleagues within Community Connect-Monument Health to establish clinical best practice standards within Weston County Health Services hospital, nursing home and clinics.
- Implements and oversees the bedside barcode medication administration process.
- Implements and oversees the 340B program, the adverse drug reaction reporting process, and medication event reporting process.
- Oversees departmental inventory, departmental budget.
- Assists with the Anti-Microbial Stewardship (AMS) program and personnel within the hospital and clinics.
- Maintains automated dispensing cabinet contents (e.g., Omnicell) including but not limited to inventory, par levels, and user access.
- Assists in reviewing, updating departmental and facility policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY ROLEThe Pharmacy Manager provides managerial oversight and supervision of the Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians

QUALIFICATIONS- Doctorate degree in Pharmacy or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Current Wyoming Pharmacy License
- Has and maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- 5+ years of clinical experience; 5+ years of Pharmaceutical Experience (preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSSedentary work - Exerting up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, including prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and/or prolonged periods of standing at a counter. Position may require light to moderate work with up to fifty pounds maximum weight to lift and carry, reaching, bending, or stooping, and handling objects with hands, fingers.
