Full Job Description
TITLE: High Voltage Charging Conformance Validation Engineer

DUTIES: Develop and perform validation test plans and procedures for electric vehicle charging system. Utilize CAN/Power-line communication (PLC) based testing tools and other electrical testing equipment in an electrical lab atmosphere to test and troubleshoot the charging system to ensure compliance to industrial charging standards. Work with design release engineers, software/hardware engineer and program team to ensure designs are robust to charging requirements, meet exact function, and are compliant to the standards. Report testing status as needed and document test failures in the issue management system, also perform initial triage of failures to determine which component in the system is not following specifications. Follow open issues through closure to ensure they are fully resolved via iterative validation process.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related and 3 years of experience in job offered or related position in automotive testing/validation. Alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related and 1 year of experience in job offered or related position in automotive testing/validation. Experience must include: Experience with DVP&R creation and execution; experience with CANalyzer or CANoe and CAPL; experience with high voltage conformance testing; knowledge of AC charging standards including SAE J1772, IEC 61851, GB/T 18487; knowledge of DC charging standards including DIN 70121, ISO 15118, GB/T 27930; experience in high-voltage laboratory, test equipment commission, setup and maintenance; knowledge of ETAS logging and calibration tools including INCA.
