LBS1 Special Education Teachers Chicago, IL. Position Overview - Deliver specialized instruction for high school students with mild-to-moderate disabilities.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address each student's academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Build meaningful relationships with students while using positive behavior management and crisis intervention strategies to support academic and social-emotional growth.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to build flexible, student-centered learning environments.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement for high school
- Experience supporting high-risk or opportunity youth preferred
- Strong behavior management, crisis intervention, and collaborative problem-solving skills
- Competitive Pay: Earn $43.00 - $46.10 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications as a Special Education Teacher, with weekly pay and opportunities for bonuses and incentives.
