About the Role:

The High School Algebra Teacher plays a critical role in shaping students' understanding and appreciation of mathematics, specifically algebra. This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive algebra instruction that aligns with Next-Generation standards and fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The teacher will create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles and encourages student participation. Additionally, the role involves assessing student progress through various evaluation methods and providing constructive feedback to promote academic growth. Ultimately, the High School Algebra Teacher contributes to the overall academic success and confidence of students in their mathematical abilities.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of algebra curriculum, regents exam, and instructional strategies.
  • Experience working with high school students in an educational setting.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mathematics Education or a related discipline.
