Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable paralegal to join our Sophisticated Planning Strategies team. This role is designed for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced planning environment and is ready to take on meaningful work across complex estate, business, and charitable planning matters. We are looking for skills in legal document review and summary, light legal research, case management, project coordination, and team communication across a team of professionals who work remotely. In this role, you will play a vital part in coordinating and supporting estate and business planning cases for our clients. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive paralegal with a passion for estate law and a desire to make a meaningful impact.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide case support for planning attorneys, as directed
  • Review and provide written summaries on clients' estate and business documents
  • Create flowcharts to document flow of assets upon triggering events
  • Set up, organize, and maintain electronic case notes and client files
  • Create initial PowerPoint presentations on behalf of attorneys
  • Coordinate with attorneys, CPAs, and analysts to manage timelines, track handoffs, follow up on outstanding items, and ensure final materials are completed and delivered on time
  • Schedule meetings to support the planning teams
  • Communicate with financial advisors and other professionals to gather necessary information through effective interviewing techniques
  • Perform light legal research and create initial written summaries to provide to attorneys


Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven 5+years paralegal experience in estate planning and related work
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program (preferred)
  • Core understanding of revocable trusts and related estate planning documents (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning principles along with general familiarity in financial planning principles (preferred)
  • Exemplary communication skills with ability to gather information, provide updates, and respond to questions; manage correspondence within the team and with advisors
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with team members and financial advisors
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) with deep expertise in PowerPoint
  • Comfortable with technology and ability to become proficient in various wealth planning software platforms
  • Experience with a client relationship management (CRM) platform
  • Excellent time-management skills; ability to consistently track/record time on various tasks;
  • Excellent customer service skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Organizational skills that enable managing multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team structure; must be a self-starter
  • Ability to effectively respond to urgent situations that require a quick response or turnaround
  • Meticulous attention to detail, including deadlines, and proactive time management in meeting deadlines while providing a polished end product

Pay Range - Start:
$81,280.00

Pay Range - End:
$121,920.00
