Job Summary

The College of New Caledonia is looking for an instructor to teach in the Heavy Mechanical Trades Program.

Skills & Qualifications
• An Interprovincial Trades Qualification in either the Heavy Duty Equipment Technician OR Truck and Transport Mechanic trade.
• Five years of experience working as a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician OR Truck and Transport Mechanic in a number of industrial settings.
• Preference will be given to candidates who are current in the trade and who have recent proven teaching and/or supervisory experience.
• The successful candidate should be able to deal effectively with students on an individual or group basis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams) is required.
• Completion of the Provincial Instructor's Diploma Program (PIDP) would be considered an asset.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety practices and will foster a safety-first culture with students and in the CNC community.
