Overview

The role of the Heavy Equipment Technical Trainer is to identify and provide technical training to Milton CAT employees and customers. The resultant goal is to improve the overall technical competency of all class participants. This will require developing the necessary training and providing such training at any of the locations within the Milton CAT territory.

Pay Range: $80,000-$100,000 annually, with higher compensation available based on skills and experience. This role is also eligible for additional annual performance bonus. Includes a company truck and gas card.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain Training Instructor qualifications according to Caterpillars CIAP Program
  • Learn and adhere to the requirements defined by Caterpillar for developing and maintain training aids and materials
  • Gather and research the necessary information required to create and deliver technical training concepts for Caterpillar equipment as well as revise materials for existing classes
  • Perform training classes at all Milton Cat locations (mostly in Milford, occasionally in Syracuse and Londonderry, NH as well as any defined off-site locations
  • Work in conjunction with TC's and technicians to understand current trends and technical issues to be able to develop courses or incorporate into courses as needed
  • Any additional duties as dictated by the Training Manager


Qualifications

  • Strong technical background with experience in engines, both mechanical and electronic, hydraulics, and powertrain.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to teach and present to an audience with prior teaching/instruction experience preferred
  • Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency while exceeding customer expectations.
  • Customer satisfaction driven
  • Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work in a dynamic fast paced environment.
  • Proficient in VisionLink and online tools
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and related software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
