We're looking for a skilled Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic who takes pride in diagnosing and repairing equipment right the first time. If you're the kind of person who steps up when timelines are tight and equipment needs attention, you'll fit right in at our Acheson Remanufacturing Plant.

Put your Red Seal chops to work as a Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic at our Acheson Alberta Remanufacturing plant. Show us that you can diagnose and repair mobile equipment and we'll provide you access to a variety of machines that could use your skilled touch.

This is a full-time, day-shift role (minimum 40 hours/week).

What You'll Work On:

You'll maintain, diagnose, and repair a variety of heavy-duty equipment, including:
    • Taylor, Hyundai, and Cat forklifts
    • Cat 938M and 926M loaders
    • Bobcat skid steers
    • JLG man lifts


Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance & Repair
    • Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty mobile equipment.
    • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
    • Troubleshoot engines, transmissions, braking systems, and major components.


Diagnostics & Technical Work
    • Use ET, Cummins Insight, and technical manuals to identify issues and develop repair solutions.
    • Replace worn or damaged parts to prevent failures and extend equipment life.


Welding & Fabrication
    • Apply welding and fabrication skills to repair or modify equipment components as needed.


Documentation & Communication
    • Complete work orders, crossover reports, and maintenance records accurately.
    • Provide detailed reports on equipment condition and recommended actions.
    • Communicate with vendors to obtain parts quotes and lead times, and relay information to your supervisor.


For this role, we are looking for candidates who have:
  • Red seal or Interprovincial TQ is an asset
  • Strong experience with hydraulics, mechanical diagnostics, and welding/fabrication
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work safely and efficiently
  • Experience with Cat, Hyundai, or Taylor equipment is an asset
  • Strong communication and organizational skills


The hourly rate for this position is: $45.10
