Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Clinician - Cardiac Device Clinic
We're seeking a dedicated
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing
Electrophysiology (EP) Device Clinic team. In this role, you'll provide specialized care to patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), including pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices, and implantable loop recorders. Working closely with electrophysiologists, device nurses, and the broader cardiovascular team, you'll help ensure exceptional patient outcomes through device management, outpatient follow-up care, remote monitoring oversight, and patient education.

Location: Hartford HealthCare Heart & Vascular Institute
Setting: Outpatient Electrophysiology / Cardiac Device Clinic
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours
Position Highlights
- Manage patients with pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices, and implantable loop recorders
- Perform and interpret device interrogations, diagnostics, and programming adjustments
- Oversee remote device monitoring and assist nursing staff with complex device management
- Evaluate and manage antiarrhythmic medication patients in the outpatient setting
- Conduct post-hospital follow-up visits, pre-device implant evaluations, and post-ablation follow-ups
- Provide patient education regarding device function, incision care, remote monitoring, and ICD shock protocols
- Collaborate with electrophysiologists to optimize device performance and patient outcomes
- Assist with device management in special situations including MRI studies, surgical procedures, and hospitalized patients
- Travel between clinic locations as needed to support device clinic services

Qualifications:- Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
- Training: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
- Current national board certification appropriate to specialty
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification required or obtained within the organizationally specified timeframe
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac device management, critical care, emergency medicine, or procedural-based care preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- New graduates with a strong cardiology interest are encouraged to apply
