Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal proceedings related to parole hearings.
  • Advocate for clients in front of administrative boards or courts.
  • Assess and analyze complex legal and factual issues.
  • Develop case strategies based on thorough legal research.
  • Provide recommendations based on findings during hearings.

Full Job Description
Duties Description To be discussed at time of interview. Travel percentage 50%.

Minimum Qualifications Must meet the following qualifications for non-competitive appointment:

Admission to the Bar of the State of New York, AND

Either four years of full-time post-bar legal experience, including two years of courtroom experience or experience practicing within an administrative body;

Or four years of advocacy experience in a parole revocation process;

Or four years of experience as a hearing officer or preliminary hearing officer in a parole setting;

Or any satisfactory combination of the above.

Additional Comments Work hours, travel and telecommuting to be discussed at time of interview.
