JOB TITLE: Materials and Procurement Manager

LOCATION: South Carolina

DEPARTMENT: Infusion

REPORTS TO: COO

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

The Materials and Procurement Manager leads all aspects of medication procurement, storage, and dispensing for PINNACLE's infusion services. This role ensures patients receiving in-house infusions have uninterrupted access to the medications they need, delivered to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical suppliers

.• Negotiate contracts and pricing with drug manufacturers and wholesalers.
• Manage procurement of biologics, DMARDs, and other specific medications.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for medication procurement and storage.
• Maintain an accurate inventory tracking system
• Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed.
• Conduct regular audits to verify inventory accuracy and safety.
• Oversee dispensing of oral medications to patients.
• Coordinate with the infusion team on preparation and delivery of infusion medications.
• Ensure all dispensing activities comply with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and enforce policies for medication storage and handling.
• Perform regular quality checks to safeguard medication integrity.
• Stay current on evolving regulations and industry best practices.
• Supervise and train pharmacy staff on procurement and dispensing procedures.
• Foster collaboration between the pharmacy and teams.
• Educate patients on their oral medications and proper usage.
• Respond to patient questions and concerns about medication usage and side effects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• PharmD
• 5+ years of experience in pharmacy procurement and management, preferably in an infusion therapy setting.
• Strong knowledge of medications and biologics.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Proficient with inventory management software and systems.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
