Full Job Description
West Monroe is seeking a Healthcare Director to join our dental strategy team, as part of the broader Healthcare Practice. This leader will help grow the dental & specialty benefits segment of our healthcare business by expanding client relationships, developing new opportunities, and delivering business and technology consulting solutions for healthcare organizations. Specifically, we're looking for individuals with deep experience in the dental ecosystem (payers, providers, DSO's, investors, and technology services organizations - practice management, AI, workflow, clearinghouses, etc.). Ideal candidates will have experience with one or more of the following platforms: Denticon, Dentrix, Open Dental, Weave, Pearl, Overjet, Facets, HealthEdge, DentalXChange, Fluent, and Vyne.

What You Will Do

Client Delivery
  • Serve as an engagement leader across a portfolio of healthcare clients, specifically related to dental and specialty benefits (dental plans, dental practices, PE investors, clearinghouses, practice management platforms, claims platforms, etc.)
  • Partner with executive and senior healthcare leaders on operational transformation, system implementations, technology strategy, and organization / technology assessments.
  • Lead complex business and technology transformation engagements, ensuring delivery excellence, client satisfaction, and measurable outcomes.
  • Oversee project scope, budgets, risks, quality, and stakeholder communications across multiple engagements.
  • Analyze client challenges and develop practical, innovative solutions that deliver measurable business value.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations while exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs.
  • Apply AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, automation tools, data models) to improve delivery efficiency, enhance insights, and elevate client outcomes.

Business Development
  • Expected to be visible within the dental ecosystem, supporting innovative, strategic, and technical relationships across clients
  • Support the growth of existing client relationships while cultivating new opportunities within healthcare clients.
  • Partner with practice leaders on prospecting, networking, and market-facing activities to expand West Monroe's presence in the healthcare market.
  • Lead proposal development, solution design, pricing support, and pursuit activities for new and existing clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare executives, industry organizations, and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute go-to-market strategies and contribute to practice growth.

Practice Development
  • Contribute to the execution of the Healthcare Practice's growth objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Help develop methodologies, offerings, accelerators, and thought leadership that strengthen West Monroe's healthcare capabilities.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop consultants while fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing culture.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and career development initiatives across the practice.
  • Contribute to resource planning, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement efforts.

What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8-12 years of consulting, healthcare, or professional services experience, including leadership of complex business and technology transformation programs.
  • Strong understanding of claims, dental operations, DSO operations, dental practice management, and dental technology solutions and trends
  • Demonstrated success managing client relationships, expanding existing accounts, and contributing to business development efforts.
  • Experience leading complex transformation initiatives involving operational, digital, technology, or organizational change.
  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with experience engaging senior client stakeholders.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing consulting teams while mentoring junior team members.
  • Experience integrating AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) into day-to-day workflows to enhance productivity and insight generation, coupled with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, mitigate bias, and ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Ability to travel 25-50%.

Based on pay transparency guidelines, a reasonable expectation for the salary range for this role is listed below. Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity. Employees in proximity of our Seattle, Washington DC, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco offices will have a geographic premium applied to this salary scale.

Employees are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses.
