POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- In partnership with the Clinic Chief, provide operational oversight and administrative management for the Primary Care Clinic
- Hire, supervise and mentor clinic staff, implement programs to meet specific patient care needs, and work to continually improve clinic operations and efficiency
- Work with the Assistant Director to prepare and manage financial reports and budgets
- Establish and maintain an operating environment that assures effective, efficient, and safe patient care practices, and will actively promote the goals of the UW Medicine "Patients Are First" Initiatives.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with leads in directing the activities of staff within the clinic. Plans and schedules work for employees ensuring adequate staffing, proper distribution of assignments, and appropriate space and facilities. Ensures employees understand their responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities. Promotes the retention of quality staff
- Maintains competent employees through orientation, evaluation, feedback, continuing education, competency standards, and formal disciplinary processes
- Mentors and rounds on all employees
- Implements programs, systems, and services that support UWNC policy and strategy decisions. Regularly monitors performance against goals. Takes corrective action as necessary
- In partnership with the chief and the Assistant Director, provides feedback on the annual development and implementation of the capital and operating budgets; monitors and makes monthly reports on revenues and expenditures, including staffing, capital, and supply expenses
- Promptly resolve patient complaints/concerns regarding care and service provided while maintaining patient satisfaction
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Care Administration or related field; or equivalent experience
- 3 years of progressive supervisory and management experience with budgetary responsibility
- Demonstrated management/leadership and program management skills
- Knowledge of ambulatory care environment and healthcare trends
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial, quality, and clinical service issues
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements
Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$111,600.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:
$132,000.00 annual
