DescriptionThe HSEQ Director is responsible for the leadership, development, and implementation of health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems across the organization. The Director will ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible manner, while maintaining high-quality standards. This position plays a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with legal and industry standards
Position Responsibilities:- Develop and implement HSEQ strategies, policies, and programs aligned with the company's goals and legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and direction to HSEQ teams and stakeholders across multiple business units.
- Promote a culture of safety, health, environmental responsibility, and quality throughout the organization.
- Set and communicate clear objectives and KPIs for safety, environmental protection, and quality performance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct and oversee regular audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify potential hazards or compliance issues.
- Partner with the Operations Departments Leadership on facility, project site safety programs and hazard reporting, dive and vessel safety standards, safety-critical equipment assurance, dangerous goods handling, and contractor/subcontractor HSEQ qualification.
- Conduct and oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking to closure, including case management.
- Maintain oversight of Resolve's HSEQ platform for reporting, analytics, audits, and case management
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Implement safety programs and practices to reduce accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses.
- Monitor workplace conditions and behaviors to ensure employee safety.
- Lead initiatives to reduce workplace hazards and improve overall safety performance.
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and sustainable practices.
- Oversee the management of waste, emissions, and resource consumption to minimize environmental impact.
- Lead environmental compliance audits and reporting.
- Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance systems to maintain high product and service standards.
- Ensure continuous improvement of processes to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Lead and oversee internal and external quality audits and maintain certification to relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), including leading third-party audits.
- Develop and deliver HSEQ training programs to employees at all levels.
- Ensure that employees understand and comply with HSEQ standards and practices.
- Mentor and develop the HSEQ team and other key staff members.
- Track, analyze, and report on HSEQ performance metrics (KPIs), including incidents, near misses, audit findings, and quality issues.
- Provide regular updates to leadership and management and recommend improvements based on data analysis.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., regulators, customers, suppliers) to ensure adherence to HSEQ requirements.
- Act as the Primary point of contact for all HSEQ matters within the organization.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in HSEQ management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Experience with HSEQ management systems and standards.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in maritime or offshore industry
