Position SummaryProject Coordinators support Project Managers in organizing and executing projects by managing schedules, deliverables, documentation, and communication. While not responsible for leading projects, they are expected to develop a project management mindset-actively learning how projects are structured, tracked, and delivered. This role serves as an entry point into project management while building foundational knowledge of engineering design, construction practices, and project delivery processes.
Essential Job Functions & AccountabilitiesProject Management- Supports project execution and coordination with increasing independence under the direction of the Project Manager.
- Assists in the development of project proposals and contract coordination to build foundational knowledge of scope, fee, and delivery planning.
- Coordinates the development and tracking of project deliverables.
- Assists in the scheduling and assignment of tasks to internal team members.
- Organizes, attends, and documents project meetings with attention to follow-through and accountability.
- Supports internal and external project communication to ensure consistent information sharing across stakeholders.
- Maintains and monitors project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
- Actively shadows Project Managers to build skills in communication, coordination, influence, and professional judgment.
Program Management (where applicable)
- Supports fee development, project setup and scoping practices for program projects.
- Assists in coordinating client service and communication across designated program efforts.
Quality- Assists with communicating and coordinating project quality expectations.
- Helps maintain project quality documentation and supports the quality review process.
- Identifies project-related issues and proactively works with the Project Manager to support resolution.
Client Experience- Serves as a secondary point of contact on select project tasks.
- Partners with the Project Manager to ensure client needs and perspectives are considered in project execution.
- Supports resolution of project-related issues and coordinates responses to client inquiries.
- Assists Project Managers with client relationship maintenance and business development efforts as requested.

Required Education, Experience, Licenses & Technical Competencies- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- 4 years of relevant experience required, with 2 years cumulative of project support experience
- Basic understanding of project execution required
- Basic understanding of building design and construction principles required
- Self-starter with the ability to influence and motivate others to achieve goals
- Successful track record of effective collaboration, communication and organization skills.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in all core competencies as described in this job description.
Physical & Other Requirements- Other duties as assigned.
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Occasional travel may be required (10-15%).
