The Health IT Data Engineer will design, build, integrate, and optimize enterprise data pipelines and analytics environments supporting Health IT modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with analysts, data scientists, and application teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions. This is a remote position requiring all work be performed in the continental United States. US Citizenship is required for consideration for this position.
Essential Responsibilities- Design and develop enterprise data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Develop logical and physical data models.
- Integrate data from multiple enterprise systems.
- Implement data validation and quality control procedures.
- Optimize database and reporting performance.
- Support Power BI, Tableau, and enterprise reporting platforms.
- Develop automation processes supporting data ingestion and transformation.
- Ensure compliance with Government security and privacy requirements.
- Troubleshoot data integration issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Support cloud-based analytics environments and data modernization initiatives.
- Prepare technical documentation and data architecture diagrams.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum seven (7) years of data engineering experience.
- Strong SQL development skills.
- Experience designing ETL pipelines.
- Experience with relational databases and data warehousing.
- Experience supporting enterprise reporting platforms.
- Ability to obtain DHS Public Trust suitability.
Preferred Qualifications- Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric experience.
- Power BI and Tableau development experience.
- Healthcare data integration experience.
- Knowledge of HL7 or FHIR standards.
Compensation
Expected Salary Range: $125,000-$135,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location (if applicable), and final contract funding.
This position is expected to support a federal customer. Employment is contingent upon contract award and successful completion of any required background investigation or security requirements.
