  • Engage in emergency response planning
  • Provide backup support for injury reporting processes

HEALTH AND SAFETY SPECIALIST

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

Your place in our story

Reporting to the Health and Safety Director, this role promotes the highest standards of health and safety throughout the organization by implementing, evaluating, promoting, and continuously improving Minto's integrated program.

Here's how you'll contribute
  • Partner with and support Health & Safety programs across the Ottawa region acting as the lead specialist for the multi-residential assets
  • Ensure compliance with Ontario OHSA and internal safety policies
  • Inspect sites and maintain on-site presence
  • Conduct audits, monitor effectiveness, and track legislative changes
  • Support construction projects and attend pre-start meetings
  • Maintain training records and identify gaps
  • Investigate incidents and support return-to-work programs
  • Facilitate safety committees and deliver safety talks
  • Maintain incident records and trend analysis
  • Participate in emergency response planning
  • Support our Senior Benefits & Wellness Specialist serving as back-up for injury reporting processes

Hiring pay range rate: $75,000 to $88,000
