Purpose and Scope/General Summary:
Develops, implements, and monitors compliance with corporate Safety and Health processes, reflecting JBS's commitment to safety and diversity.
Responsibilities:
• Develops, maintains, and monitors compliance with corporate safety and health processes.
• Provides clear leadership and guidance to all levels of JBS team members regarding Health and Safety, fostering a sense of influence and importance.
• Develops, supports, and executes processes to reduce partner injury and illness rates.
• Proactively manages Workers' Compensation cases.
• Tracks metrics and drives Health & Safety improvement and performance in the organization.
• Manages all Health & Safety regulatory reporting requirements.
• Conducts annual Safety Management Systems Audits to verify continuing compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains consistency as it relates to training, policies, procedures, and OSHA record keeping.
• Ensures compliance with property and casualty insurance carrier in addition to making appropriate structural and human factor enhancements in an attempt to lower future premiums.
• Availability outside of normal business hours will be required.
Working Conditions:
Routine exposures to significant levels of unpleasant heat, cold, moisture, and air conditions. May involve exposure to chemical substances and risks of minor cuts, bruises, and burns.
Qualifications:
Education: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field; however, additional related work experience will be considered instead of the education requirement.
Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience to perform the duties of this job successfully.
Relationships:
INTERNAL- Internal communication is required daily with all levels of team members. Communication involves the ability to resolve conflict, manage opposing interests and viewpoints, and develop a strategic communications plan.
EXTERNAL- External communication is required weekly with Manager- or Director-level positions. Communication involves the ability to resolve conflict, manage opposing interests and viewpoints, and develop a strategic communications plan.

Compensation & Benefits
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company-observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $90,000 - $110,000
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan; the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program
