- Comfortable with Technology: You'll use Microsoft Office, Adobe Sign, Jotform, and ChildPlus in your daily work. Based out of the ECFS warehouse, you'll also provide basic technology support and assistance to warehouse staff as needed.
- Detail-oriented: You'll maintain accurate records of work orders, preventative maintenance activities, and inventory, ensuring documentation is organized, complete, and up to date.
What you will typically be responsible for: - Overseeing the maintenance of ECFS facilities and vehicles.
- Ordering, maintaining, and tracking inventory of supplies.
- Coordinating ECFS maintenance staff to prioritize and ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintaining accurate records of work orders and monitoring their status through completion.
- Collaborating with Oakland Public Works, contractors, and property management to resolve facility issues as needed.
- Supervising and coordinating drivers to ensure the timely delivery of food, supplies, and equipment.

Minimum Requirements for Application This recruitment will produce two eligible lists. The restricted list will be for full-time, permanent part-time, or part-time City and Port of Oakland employees who maintain employment for the duration of the recruitment and pass all stages of the recruitment process. The open list will be for all other applicants who pass all stages of the recruitment process.
Any combination of education and experience that is equivalent to the following minimum qualifications may be acceptable:
Education:High school diploma or equivalent. An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in public health, education, public administration, or a closely related field is desirable.
Experience:Two years of progressively responsible work experience in facility maintenance. Work experience with social service, public health, or educational programs is desirable. License or Certificate / Other Requirements
Successful Incumbents in this position are expected to operate automotive vehicles in the performance of assigned duties. Due to the nature of the assignment and hours worked, public transportation may not be a cost-effective or efficient method for traveling to the various locations required. Individuals who are appointed to this position will be required to maintain a valid California Driver's License throughout the tenure of employment OR demonstrate the ability to travel to various locations in a timely manner as required in the performance of duties.
Depending on the nature of the assignment, candidates who receive offers of employment will be required to submit fingerprints, undergo a criminal record clearance, and have a physical examination including a TB screening.
Desirable Qualifications:- Experience overseeing early childhood education facilities, including knowledge of federal and state health, safety, and facility requirements.
- Knowledge of basic facilities maintenance and repair, including plumbing, electrical systems, locks and keys, fire and earthquake safety, furniture assembly, cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting, and preventative maintenance.
- Experience supervising or coordinating a team to achieve shared goals efficiently and within established timelines.
