A Snapshot of Your Day

Are you an energetic, self-starting candidate ready to lead a team in order management for the Winston Technology center? In this role, you will be leading a team of professionals managing orders for our factory. You will apply your expertise to build and extend a network with all interfaces to support and drive the business for all orders for new components, repaired components and steam turbines. You will maintain a steady order flow for the factory and streamline order management as customer needs evolve. You will work with internal leadership team on customer feedback, reducing lead times, and achieving cost optimization. Your background in engineering, production, SAP, supply chain, and logistics will be key to your success in this fast-paced environment.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Ensuring efficient order management with healthy pipeline of orders.
  • Technically clarify all incoming orders and quote requests to ensure a smooth order flow into the supply and manufacturing chain. Engage all stakeholders and resolve any potential disruption in the order pipeline.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for all questions regarding POs and Quote Requests
  • Coordinate clarifications with Engineering, Supply, and Manufacturing to keep customers informed about potential change requirements.
  • Effectively handle large scope orders/programs with complex contractual requirements and significant commercial risk to minimize potential exposure to Siemens.
  • Actively coordinate order pull-ins/pushouts with customer demands and financial targets for both the Region, GSO, and external customers.
  • Maintain issue resolutions with multiple operations including Logistics, Transportation, ECC, Engineering, Data Management, Project Management, Fleet Management, and Supply Management for on-time delivery of parts.
  • Proactively advise internal customers regarding possible spare parts, modifications, or upgrade needs to minimize downstream impact in the order chain.
  • Drive innovation and process improvements with a focus on digitalization and automation.
What You Bring
  • 8 or more years of work experience in the relevant field and manufacturing industry. 2 or more years of experience or exposure to leading and/ or coaching is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and customer service experience are essential.
  • A high level of proficiency in SAP (OPP & PD2), MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.
  • Strong communication skills: German language skills are preferred.
  • Excellent networking and collaboration skills.
  • A customer-first attitude with solid product knowledge.
  • Resolution and time-focused mindset with high team spirit.

Winston Technology Center in Rural Hall, North Carolina, is a modern, 500,000-square-foot manufacturing facility on 249 acres campus employing approximately 400 staff. We Specialize in the production and repair of turbine components for the 60Hz energy market, the center supports large gas and steam turbines within the Gas Services Division. This division delivers low-emission power solutions, including decarbonization and fleet modernization services, with all gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators managed on-site for Siemens Energy.
