Full Job Description
We are looking for a Head of Network Expansion and Facilities to spearhead the next phase of our growth: launching new buildings and dramatically improving our existing warehouse capabilities. In this role, you will own our physical footprint from the ground up-driving the end-to-end launch of new fulfillment centers while simultaneously re-engineering our current spaces to maximize capacity, layout efficiency, and operational flow. If you are a hands-on leader who can seamlessly bridge the gap between heavy industrial construction and continuous process improvement, this is your opportunity to build and optimize our fulfillment network.

How you will achieve success:

  • Launch New Nodes: Build and execute end-to-end fulfillment center launch plans, locking down timelines, milestones, and cross-functional team alignment from groundbreaking to go-live.
  • Design Infrastructure Layouts: Oversee complete facility setup, building optimal floor layouts and managing the installation of material handling equipment (MHE) to maximize operational flow.
  • Manage Vendor Partnerships: Act as the primary anchor for contractors, equipment vendors, and senior executives, keeping construction on schedule and keeping stakeholders aligned.
  • Forecast Network Capacity: Analyze current warehouse storage and model future growth data to predict footprint needs across seasonal peaks and business expansions.
  • Re-Engineer Existing Spaces: Lead space optimization and layout redesign initiatives to squeeze more capacity out of current buildings with zero disruption to active daily shifts.
  • Own Preventive Maintenance: Run a proactive facilities maintenance program (PM) across the network, tracking inspections and uptime for all MHE, HVAC, and critical safety systems.
  • Enforce Site Compliance: Partner tightly with Safety and Engineering teams to guarantee every facility continuously meets strict operational, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive Cost Efficiency Metrics: Model facility data to pitch and implement process improvements that directly lower variable cost per unit, boost building storage, and accelerate next-day delivery speeds.
