Inside the Role
The Head of Syndication, North America is responsible for developing and executing Daimler Truck Financial Services' syndication strategy across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This role leads the origination, development, and execution of retail and wholesale syndication opportunities that support portfolio growth, funding diversification, balance sheet optimization, and return on equity objectives.Posting Information

What You Drive at DTFS
Develop and execute retail and wholesale syndication strategies across multiple transportation and equipment finance asset classes.
Build strong partnerships with regional and local business leaders to identify syndication opportunities and support commercial growth objectives.
Collaborate with Sales, Credit, Finance, Treasury, Operations, Legal, Accounting, and Risk Management teams to deliver effective syndication solutions.
Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and execute syndication transactions that support portfolio growth, capital deployment, concentration management, and funding diversification.
Develop new syndication products, investor structures, and program enhancements to meet evolving market needs.
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership regarding investor demand, market opportunities, capital optimization strategies, and syndication market trends.
Expand investor relationships and capital markets participation to enhance funding economics and program performance.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to syndication growth, investor development, transaction execution, and portfolio optimization.
Ensure syndication activities align with broader funding strategies, liquidity objectives, and long-term capital planning efforts.
Lead the operational infrastructure supporting investor reporting, compliance monitoring, servicing oversight, governance, and post-closing transaction management.
Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and scalable operating practices to support future growth.
Knowledge You Should Bring
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in equipment finance, transportation finance, commercial lending, capital markets, structured finance, or syndications.
4+ years of people leadership and management experience, including leading and developing high-performing teams
Demonstrated experience executing retail and wholesale syndication transactions.
Proven success developing, negotiating, and executing syndication programs across multiple asset classes.
Significant experience building and managing relationships with banks, institutional investors, insurance companies, and other capital providers.
Experience partnering with Credit, Treasury, Finance, Operations, Legal, and Accounting organizations.
Strong understanding of customer financing, dealer financing, and commercial lending processes.
Deep knowledge of retail and wholesale finance, syndicated lending, capital markets execution, and equipment finance.
Strong financial, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management abilities.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic business initiatives.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
Experience supporting large-scale portfolio sales, participations, assignments, structured funding transactions, and other capital markets activities.
Strong transportation and equipment finance industry network.
Expertise in funding and liquidity management, capital allocation, and balance sheet optimization.
Knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and derecognition requirements.
Experience with financial modeling, portfolio analytics, and risk management.
Track record of developing scalable syndication programs and operational frameworks.
MBA, Master's degree in Finance, or other relevant advanced degree.
Experience leading syndication strategy within a multinational financial services, commercial finance, or equipment finance organization.
