The RoleThe Head of Product, Edge Platforms serves as the bridge between customers, Engineering, Product, Operations, Sales, Customer Success, Support, and company leadership. This role translates customer, market, technical, and business needs into scalable product offerings and priorities while guiding products throughout their lifecycle.
In addition to owning the ETB Controller roadmap, this role will help define and develop Energy Toolbase's next generation of edge offerings. This includes identifying opportunities related to microgrid controls, protection and relay systems, onsite energy management, distributed energy resource integration, and other technologies that enable reliable operation at the site level.
The Product Manager partners closely with Engineering and technical subject matter experts to shape product strategy, evaluate new technologies, and ensure ETB's edge platform portfolio continues to meet evolving customer and market needs
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for ETB Controller and Energy Toolbase's edge technology portfolio.
- Own product investment and prioritization decisions, balancing customer value, strategic objectives, technical constraints and business impact.
- Serve as the primary product owner and subject matter expert for ETB's edge platforms.
- Gather, evaluate, and prioritize customer feedback, market trends, technical requirements, and business needs to drive product innovation and improvement.
- Partner with Engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and customer-focused solutions.
- Identify and develop new edge product opportunities, including microgrid controls, distributed energy resources, and emerging energy management technologies.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, Operations, and other customer-facing teams to identify customer pain points and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain product requirements, user stories, workflows, and release priorities.
- Monitor product adoption, customer satisfaction, and platform performance to guide product investments and strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with customers and industry partners to understand evolving market needs and ensure product capabilities align with future opportunities.
- Support product launches, customer communications, training initiatives, and go-to-market activities.
- Partner with Product Enablement and other go-to-market teams by providing product expertise, roadmap context, and launch inputs, while supporting their development of training, communications, and enablement materials
- Communicate product priorities, roadmap decisions, trade-offs, and progress clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Promote data-driven decision making through customer insights, product analytics, and market intelligence.

Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Product Management, Renewable Energy, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, engineering, energy technology, software, controls, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with energy storage, distributed energy resources, power systems, industrial controls, or related technologies.
- Experience developing product strategies, requirements, and roadmaps for technical products.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, sales, and customer-facing groups.
- Experience with microgrids, energy management systems, utility interconnections, or distributed energy technologies is considered an asset.
- Experience bringing new products or technology solutions from concept through market launch is considered an asset.
