Your Role at SephoraReady for a career glow up? The Head of Organizational Effectiveness & Transformation reports to the SVP, Talent and serves as a senior enterprise leader responsible for shaping how Sephora North America designs work, aligns decision-making, and enables transformation at scale. This role leads the organizational effectiveness agenda across the enterprise by integrating organization design, operating model discipline, change leadership, workforce management governance, and AI-enabled ways of working.
As a strategic partner to Talent and business leadership, this role translates enterprise strategy into scalable organizational solutions that strengthen accountability, improve executional clarity, increase organizational agility, and enable sustainable business performance. This role will establish the frameworks, governance, and transformation capabilities needed to ensure organizational investments, structural decisions, and new ways of working are aligned to business priorities and adopted effectively across the organization.
This leader operates at both strategic and executional levels-advising senior leaders on complex organizational issues while building repeatable enterprise practices that improve how work gets done across functions, markets, and operating environments.
What You'll DoOrganizational Design- Lead organizational design efforts that improve how work is structured, governed, and executed across teams and functions.
- Assess and design operating models, organizational structures, spans and layers, role clarity, decision rights, and organizational efficiency opportunities.
- Partner with Talent and business leaders to translate strategic priorities into practical organization design solutions and implementation plans.
- Develop scalable tools, frameworks, and standards that enable consistent organization design practices across the enterprise.
Change & Transformation- Build and embed enterprise change management approaches that support transformation planning, leadership readiness, stakeholder alignment, adoption, and sustainment.
- Partner with leaders to develop change strategies, communication plans, training approaches, and adoption measures.
- Support enterprise transformation initiatives by identifying impacts, governance needs, implementation risks, and success measures.
- Enable leaders and teams to successfully adopt new ways of working through practical tools, resources, and reinforcement strategies.
AI-Enabled Ways of Working & Adoption- Lead the people side of AI-enabled transformation, helping leaders and teams understand, adopt, and sustain new ways of working.
- Partner across Talent, HR Technology, Operational Excellence, and business functions to evaluate how AI may impact work, roles, skills, and decision-making.
- Develop change and adoption strategies that support responsible experimentation, learning, and organizational readiness.
- Identify adoption risks, capability gaps, and opportunities to improve employee experience and business outcomes through AI-enabled work.
Workforce Management Governance- Establish enterprise standards, governance routines, and decision-making frameworks for workforce management.
- Partner with Retail, Distribution Centers, Canada, Payroll, HR Technology, Finance, and Operations leaders to improve alignment and accountability.
- Clarify workforce management decision rights, prioritization processes, and escalation paths across key stakeholders.
- Ensure workforce management practices support broader organizational effectiveness and transformation priorities.
Enterprise Partnership & Strategic Advisory- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives on organizational effectiveness, operating model evolution, and transformation priorities.
- Connect Talent strategy to business execution by identifying opportunities to improve organizational performance, governance, and change readiness.
- Assess complex organizational challenges, evaluate trade-offs, and recommend solutions that drive business results.
- Monitor emerging trends and organizational insights to inform future workforce and transformation strategies.
What You'll Bring- 12+ years of experience in organizational effectiveness, organization design, change management, HR transformation, workforce management, or business transformation.
- Expertise in operating model design, organizational structures, governance frameworks, decision rights, and workforce planning.
- Demonstrated success leading complex, enterprise-wide transformation initiatives in matrixed organizations.
- Experience influencing and partnering with senior leaders across HR, Operations, Finance, Technology, and business functions.
- Strong change leadership skills with experience driving adoption, stakeholder engagement, and sustained outcomes.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, and consulting capabilities.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, build alignment, and translate complex challenges into practical solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications in change management, organizational design, or transformation are a plus
What You'll Get: The annual base salary range for this position is $206,380.00 - $230,660.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses. This job will be posted for a minimum of five days.
