Full Job Description
The Head of Medical Information will support RayzeBio's Medical Affairs organization by ensuring the development and dissemination of scientific, clinical, and health-related information to healthcare professionals, patients, payers, and other stakeholders. This role will lead the creation and lifecycle management of core medical information content, oversee training of the Medical Information call center vendor team, and support the review of promotional and non-promotional materials through the Medical/Legal/Regulatory (MLR) process. The team member will serve as a subject matter expert for internal and external audiences, act as the primary liaison to Bristol Myers Squibb's (BMS) Medical Information organization to ensure alignment of processes, systems, and shared services, and contribute to cross-functional Medical Affairs initiatives supporting RayzeBio's radiopharmaceutical portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop the medical information strategy and accountable for providing leadership and direction for the development and dissemination of scientific, clinical, and health-related information to healthcare professionals, patients, payers, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Use leading edge knowledge, innovation solutions, and AI to lead the development, maintenance, and lifecycle management of Medical Information content, including standard response documents, FAQs, scientific slide decks, and other medical communication launch related resources.
  • Directs the resolution of highly complex or unique queries coming in from HCPs through our medical information services. Serve as the subject matter expert responsible for training the Medical Information call center/vendor team on product and disease-state content, ensuring accurate and compliant responses to inquiries.
  • Act as the bridge between RayzeBio and Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) for Medical Information services, leveraging BMS systems, content, and shared resources where appropriate and ensuring RayzeBio's Medical Information practices remain aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Generate insights from medical information/call center to contribute to medical strategy.
  • Directly accountable for the review of promotional and non-promotional materials through the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review process, ensuring scientific accuracy and compliance. May manage external vendors or other junior team members to support.
  • Support Medical Affairs presence at scientific congresses and professional meetings, including booth coverage and generation/ review of congress materials.
  • Provide compliant support for market access in the presentation and submission of scientific data to payors, as needed.
  • Direct the resolution and handling of complex, unusual escalated medical inquiries and contribute to periodic Medical Information reporting.
  • Leverages AI to drive program, portfolio, or functional performance through prioritization and scaled adoption


Required Qualifications:
  • Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) or equivalent required.
  • 5-8 years' experience in Medical Information or Medical Affairs roles, including experience supporting content development, call center/vendor training, and MLR review.
  • Expert knowledge of industry compliance and regulatory requirements governing dissemination of medical information and promotional/non-promotional materials.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret Medical Information metrics and communicate actionable insights.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Oncology experience required. RPT experience preferred.
  • Location in San Diego, CA or Princeton, NJ preferred; remote considered with travel to corporate office. Additional travel up to 25% as needed.

Compensation Overview:

Remote - United States - US: $210,572 - $255,164

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

  • US Exempt Employees: flexible time off (unlimited, with manager approval, 11 paid national holidays (not applicable to employees in Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico or Rayzebio employees)
  • Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays


Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.

All global employees full and part-time who are actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible to take advantage of the Global Shutdown.

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
