Qualifications

• 5+ years leading a people function, including experience starting one from the ground up.
• Proven ownership of full-cycle recruiting, beyond just process administration.
• Hands-on IT/systems fluency: involving tool selection, consolidation, and internal automation.
• Experience creating processes in a lean environment, ideally in a smaller company under 100 people.
• Track record in developing and retaining talent, not solely focused on onboarding.
• Ability to work in-office in NYC at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the executive team on overarching company planning with a focus on people and systems.
• Design and oversee the recruitment process from discovery to offer, shaping candidate experience.
• Manage and maintain the internal toolset and AI systems for efficiency and performance.
• Handle budgeting and forecasting for internal people programs and tools.
• Facilitate team cohesion through organized rituals and milestones as the team expands.
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, enhancing employee experience day-to-day.
• Develop and refine Photon's feedback and performance strategies as the company scales.
• Administer compensation and benefits, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance.
