Full Job Description
The Role

We're hiring our first growth person to own the customer-growth number and turn a proven, part-time growth engine into a real one. The core playbook is already working: multi-channel content moves our market, we have an unfair distribution advantage in our team credibility, and our community is loud and engaged.

Your job is to operate it, compound it, and keep sharpening it from what the data and our patients tell you. This role isn't about spending on Meta ads, but building a high-leverage system for audience building, conversion, and resonance.
Why now
  • The conversation around getting off medications is reaching a cultural inflection point.
  • Healthy unit economics and unusually strong retention already in hand.
  • Insurance unlocks, new state launches, and benzodiazepine tapering all unlock over the next year, expanding our market and improving our economics.
  • A vocal, engaged community and founder-led content that already converts.
  • You'd inherit existing momentum, while still having the opportunity to shape the strategy.
What you'll own
  • The number. Patients acquired and revenue growth, with high-quality unit economics.
  • Content. Multi-channel attention: social on Meta, X, and Substack, long-form YouTube, and whatever else earns the ear. This is where we create demand and where we grow our thought leaders.
  • SEO and organic discovery. Search-intent capture and answer-engine optimization. Related to content, but its own craft, and increasingly its own battleground as LLMs become how people ask "how do I get off my meds."
  • Lifecycle. Nurture and re-engagement tuned to a real but short consideration window, over email and SMS.
  • Earned media and thought leadership. Working with our comms contractor, build press and podcast presence, and grow a bench of clinical thought leaders, for both the people considering deprescribing and the clinicians who will one day refer them.
  • The measurement spine. Wire up the full funnel, from attention to lead to evaluation to active patient to retention, and know what each channel actually drives. We compound qualified demand, not vanity metrics.
  • The bench. Orchestrate external partners (contractors/agency) across performance marketing contractor, PR, podcasts, and dedicated brand support.
What this role is not
  • Not a paid-media operator. Paid is a contractor's job and a supporting channel in our market, not the main engine.
  • Not the brand owner. Our brand voice and positioning are developed with dedicated support outside this seat. You steward and activate them, and you own the growth they produce, but you won't be starting from a blank canvas or carrying brand alone.
Who you are (must-haves)
  • You've owned a growth number. CAC, funnel, and payback are instincts for you, not vocabulary.
  • You're an AI-native content operator who can build and scale a content engine, not run a one-off.
  • You turn insight into strategy. You get close to customers and data, and you iterate the plan from what you learn.
  • You feel the mission. Mental health done differently, and helping people escape pharmaceutical capture, genuinely pulls at you.
  • You're a player-coach. You build the machine with your own hands and a lean bench.
  • You're brand-literate with taste. You can carry a narrative into content that builds trust and converts.
Strong adds
  • Healthcare, telehealth, or another regulated, stigmatized, high-trust category.
  • Deep lifecycle chops (email/SMS, segmentation, re-engagement flows).
  • Category-creation or movement-building experience.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $150,000 - $220,000, based on experience
  • Early-Stage Equity: 0.25 - 1%
  • Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision benefits
  • Time Off: 20 days paid vacation + holidays
