The RoleAMD is seeking a Senior Director, Corporate Security, to lead the company's global security strategy and operations. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this leader is responsible for protecting AMD's employees, executives, facilities, intellectual property, assets, reputation, and business operations across a global technology enterprise that generated more than $34B in 2025.
The Senior Director leads AMD's Physical Security, Investigations, Executive Protection, Event Security, and Threat Management functions and is responsible for developing and executing a modern, intelligence-driven security strategy that protects the enterprise while enabling business growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
As a trusted advisor to the CEO, AMD Executive Team (AET), and senior leaders, this individual provides strategic counsel on enterprise risk, emerging threats, crisis management, executive protection, workplace safety, and organizational resilience. The successful candidate will continue to evolve AMD's global security capabilities and build a world-class security organization operating at the pace of a leading technology company.

Key Responsibilities- Lead the continued evolution and modernization of AMD's security capabilities to address emerging risks and support long-term business growth.
- Drive a proactive, intelligence-led approach to security that strengthens preparedness, mitigates risk, and enables business success.
- Lead enterprise response to critical incidents and events that may impact employee safety, executive leadership, operations, assets, or corporate reputation.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, AET, and senior leaders on enterprise risk, executive protection, crisis management, and organizational resilience.
- Develop and execute AMD's global Corporate Security strategy, policies, standards, and operating framework.
- Partner closely with Cybersecurity, Fraud, Legal, Human Resources, Communications, and Facilities to ensure a coordinated approach to enterprise risk, insider risk, business continuity, and cyber-physical security.
- Build strong relationships with law enforcement, industry peers, intelligence partners, and external stakeholders.
- Implement performance metrics and KPIs tied to risk reduction, incident response, audit readiness, program maturity, cost effectiveness, and business enablement.
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing global team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence with succession planning and leadership capability
- Ensure compliance with applicable security-related policies, audits, regulatory obligations, export control considerations, privacy requirements, and global standards.
- Manage security investments and resources, global security budgets, vendor/SLA management, regional service-delivery models, to ensure AMD remains positioned to address current and emerging threats.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in an AI enabled environment by leveraging Artificial Intelligence, including Generative AI, to drive innovation, improve organizational effectiveness, inform strategic decision making, and foster responsible adoption of emerging technologies.
Preferred Experience - 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across Corporate Security, Enterprise Risk, Investigations, Intelligence, Executive Protection, Law Enforcement, Military, or related disciplines.
- Significant experience leading security organizations within large, global technology companies or similarly complex environments. Semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, critical infrastructure, or innovation-driven environments are a plus.
- Proven success supporting C-suite executives and operating in highly visible executive-facing roles.
- Experience leading crisis management, enterprise investigations, executive protection/travel risk programs, insider risk response, and global security operations.
- Demonstrated ability to influence across highly matrixed organizations and build trusted relationships at all levels.
- Track record of leading organizational transformation, modernization initiatives, and high-performing teams.
