Head of Commercial Operations and Customer Success will serve as the commercial and customer-facing leader of Operation Stormbreaker, responsible for supporting customer acquisition, and leading onboarding, relationship management, and ongoing support. This leader will also establish and oversee commercial operations infrastructure, including pipeline management, contracting, reporting, and customer feedback systems to ensure we meet revenue targets and evolve product-market fit. Works closely with Sales and Marketing Ecosystem, technical delivery team (contractors) and reports to Digital Program Manager.
Business and Support Services Division (MR) operates Operation StormBreaker, a cutting-edge common computing environment for DoD and NAFI Mission owners. This platform offers a comprehensive, zero-trust, cloud-native environment that delivers shared infrastructure, cloud hosting, IT services, and active cyber defenses up to Impact Level 5 (IL5). IL5 certification, authorized by DoD, ensures that the cloud service provider (CSP) adheres to stringent security controls. Operation StormBreaker is an innovative initiative that delivers rapid, secure, and adaptable software-defined capabilities to support decisive military advantage across all domains. Founded on the principle of achieving mission superiority through digital dominance, StormBreaker accelerates the way warfighters respond to emerging threats, operational challenges, and strategic opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Support the qualification, nurturing and closing of new business opportunities. Ensure revenue targets are met.
- Represent Stormbreaker at DoD working groups, innovation forums, and industry conferences.
- Support the creation of appropriate collateral and thought leadership content.
- Identify opportunities for customer expansion and upselling across product lines.
Commercial Operations
- Build and manage scalable processes for sales operations, opportunity tracking, customer contracting, and pricing.
- Develop and maintain forecasting models, dashboards, and revenue tracking systems.
- Develop and refine go-to-market strategies, messaging, and customer targeting.
- Ensure smooth execution of sales and delivery activities.
Customer Success
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for all Operation Stormbreaker clients.
- Design and oversee onboarding, support, and training workflows to ensure rapid adoption and satisfaction.
- Develop playbooks, resources, and feedback loops to ensure customer goals are met and exceeded.
- Capture and relay product feedback to the product team to improve offerings.
- Uncover customer needs and opportunities for new offering development.
May work a fluctuating schedule to conduct work assignments outside typical work week and work hours. May travel to attend meetings and conferences. Prepares correspondence, briefs, action documents, routing sheets, point papers, presentations, and training sessions.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.

EVALUATIONS:
Qualifications10+ years of experience in commercial operations, business development, customer success, or program management in a technology-driven environment. Strong familiarity with DoD, government contracting, or federal technology markets. Demonstrated success in building a customer-facing infrastructure in an early-stage or growth-stage business. Deep understanding of SaaS delivery, customer lifecycle management, and enterprise onboarding practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage senior military and civilian stakeholders. Excellent listener, inquirer, and relationship builder. High attention to detail and comfort navigating ambiguity in a startup-like environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with continuous delivery / DevSecOps platforms or digital transformation services. Background in enterprise B2B SaaS, especially in regulated or security-focused environments. Understanding of ATO, IL5/IL6 hosting, or DoD cybersecurity compliance.
