Head of Claims Analytics, Americas

The Head of Claims Analytics - Americas is a senior regional leadership role responsible for defining and executing the regional claims analytics strategy and leading the function's most complex, cross-functional performance and transformation initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Claims Officer, Americas, the role will establish the governance, operating model, insights, and accountability required to improve claims outcomes, strengthen portfolio performance, reduce leakage, and support profitable growth across BU Americas.

The role will build and mature the Claims Analytics - Americas capability and translate claims performance, market intelligence, operational data, and emerging technology into clear business priorities and measurable outcomes. Working in partnership with Americas and Global Claims leadership, the Head of Tech & AI Americas, profit centers, Underwriting, Actuarial, Pricing, Technology, and Data & Analytics, the role will drive execution, strengthen performance management, and embed sustainable change across the region.

Key responsibilities of this role:

  • Drive the development, implementation, and success of the Americas Claims Analytics strategy, with accountability for measurable improvements in claims performance, operational effectiveness, leakage reduction, client outcomes, and profitable growth.


  • Lead the strategic execution of the Americas Claims function's most complex, cross-functional analytics, performance, and transformation initiatives, aligning business leaders and delivery partners around clear priorities, accountabilities, investment decisions, and outcomes.


  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Claims Analytics capability, establishing the operating model, talent and technical requirements, governance routines, quality standards, and an inclusive culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


  • Use claims analytics, portfolio performance, loss experience, and external market intelligence to identify emerging risks, commercial opportunities, operational gaps, and priorities that influence underwriting appetite, pricing, portfolio strategy, client service, and broader business planning.


  • Own and embed the regional claims performance management framework, including core KPIs, scorecards, quantified benchmarks, Monthly Business Reviews, leakage management, and corrective action governance, ensuring improvement plans deliver measurable and sustainable results.


  • Own the Americas Claims data governance agenda in partnership with global teams, establishing core data elements, data quality expectations, reporting standards, and accountability across portfolios, internal partners, IDA, and TPAs so insights are reliable and actionable.


  • Partner with the Head of Tech & AI Americas, Digital Leads, Product Owners, Technology, and Global Data & Analytics to define and execute the regional Claims AI and technology roadmap, prioritizing business cases, vendors, pilots, automation opportunities, and scalable solutions based on expected value and strategic fit.


  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, external partnerships, market practices, and new analytical capabilities that can strengthen claims performance, improve client outcomes, increase efficiency, and create competitive advantage.


  • Lead the change and adoption strategy for new analytics capabilities, governance routines, technologies, and ways of working, partnering with business leaders to build engagement, minimize disruption, and embed sustainable behavioral change.


  • Serve as a senior strategic partner to the Chief Claims Officer, Americas and Americas Claims leadership, advising on performance priorities, investment needs, operational trade-offs, transformation opportunities, and capability-building requirements.


  • Influence senior leaders across Claims, Underwriting, Pricing, Actuarial, Technology, AI, Data & Analytics, Compliance, Quality Assurance, and other regional and global functions to align priorities, remove barriers, eliminate duplicative oversight, and ensure claims insights inform enterprise decision-making.


This role will report directly to the Chief Claims Officer, Americas.

  • Deep data governance, information aggregation, and analytics capability, including defining core claim data elements, evaluating data quality, identifying patterns, and converting insights into actionable business recommendations.


  • Proven ability to establish performance frameworks, set clear standards and accountabilities, evaluate trends and metrics, and deliver measurable operational and financial improvement across complex claims portfolios.


  • Strong understanding of the Americas insurance market, competitive landscape, products, services, client expectations, broker dynamics, emerging risks, and the broader commercial and regulatory environment.


  • Ability to assess emerging technologies, external partnerships, competitor practices, and industry trends and translate them into relevant claims priorities, transformation opportunities, and scalable business solutions.


  • Excellent verbal, written, and collaborative communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, align cross-functional partners, facilitate change, and communicate complex insights clearly and effectively.

The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD 155,300-258,900.
