Head of Automation

Position type: Full-time

Type of contract: Permanent

The Head of automation & digitalization is responsible for leading automation development projects from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with global engineering standards and operational excellence, The position will play a critical role in shaping future manufacturing technologies, improving process efficiency, and supporting global expansion initiatives.

To succeed in this role, you will be highly driven to:

  • Developing new machines and process concepts will be one of your core responsibilities
  • Translating market need into production, automation and digitalization
  • Close collaboration with the U.S market, including customer, production teams and Supply chain
  • Testing and implementing digital solutions in a hands-on environment
  • You will support plant and layout expansion in a dynamic, fast-moving setting
  • You will train other and develop talent


Skills and experience to thrive in this role:

  • Technical Degree or bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, robotics or similar.
  • Working in an international environment
  • Strong sense of technical curiosity
  • Strong experience in custom equipment development, industrial automation, robotics, or integrated manufacturing systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC architecture, industrial controls, motion systems, pneumatics, and electrical design.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

HARTING USA offers an attractive total compensation package and employee benefits, including:

Compensation:
  • HARTING's Total Compensation Structure includes a Base Salary and Bonus Percentage.
  • Competitive salary: $110,000 - $140,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • This role is eligible for a 5% discretionary annual bonus.
