About this roleAs Head of Applied AI at Amigo, you'll lead the Applied AI Engineers and Deployment Strategists who deploy our technology inside major health systems, life sciences, payor organizations, and government entities. Amigo isn't a point solution. We're the infrastructure our customers build their agents on, and the Applied AI team is how that platform becomes agents clinicians and patients actually use.
You're accountable for what the field delivers end to end, from fast time-to-value to real clinician adoption to Amigo's expansion inside each account. The core of the job is building the team, the playbooks, and the quality bar as Amigo takes on more customers with deeper integrations. You'll be working with product, growth, and leadership to shape Amigo's field and platform strategy.
What you'll do- Hiring and growing the field team, and developing the leaders inside it
- Owning Applied AI-wide outcomes across the customer portfolio, from time-to-value to clinician adoption to customer health
- Setting the reference architectures, standards, and playbooks that every deployment is built within
- Acting as the team's voice to product and leadership on what customers need and where the platform goes next
- Staying close to the hardest deployments and most senior stakeholders to hold the line on scope, timelines, and quality
What we're looking for- Experience leading customer-facing delivery, forward-deployed, or solutions teams, ideally in healthcare technology, enterprise SaaS, or consulting
- Direct experience in healthcare delivery environments (clinical operations, hospital administration, or health system strategy)
- Real technical depth, you've shipped production software or AI systems and can make architecture and tradeoff calls with your engineers, not around them
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across clinical leadership, IT, operations, finance, and compliance
- Experience with LLMs and agent systems
- A track record hiring, growing, and developing leaders, raising the bar of a whole team rather than delivering as an individual
- Strong business acumen, comfortable with ROI models, unit economics, and quantifying operational impact
- Low ego, direct, and holds yourself and your team to a high bar
- Able to work on site in New York City or San Francisco
